Q: Does Pinz accept reservations?
A: No, bowling at Pinz and in Z Lounge is on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is a wait for bowling you can put your name on the list and you'll get a pager so you know when a lane is ready for you. While you wait you can warm up with a round of Laser Tag, play in Wahooz arcade, or enjoy a bite to eat at Pinz or in Wahooz' Clubhouse Grill. You can make advance reservations at Pinz for birthday parties or group events for 10 or more.
Q: What forms of payment does Pinz accept?
A: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and cash. We do not accept personal checks.
Q: Why does Pinz sell bowling by the hour?
A. Pinz sells bowling by the game OR by the hour most of the week, and bowling by the hour ONLY on Friday and Saturday nights. It's better to think of it as bowling by TIME, because we'll sell you the appropriate amount of time for your group. Most people want to play two games, and for four people that would be 1 1/2 hours. We sell bowling in 15 minute increments, too. Selling bowling by time allows us to accurately predict wait times for lanes, which customers want to know. Bowling by the hour often is a better value to your group than bowling by the game.
Q: How many people can bowl on a lane?
A: A maximum of six people can bowl on a lane, whether paying by game or paying by the hour. Six is the optimal number of bowlers for a game to move quickly enough for everyone to enjoy it.
Q: Is Pinz a smoke-free facility?
A: Yes, smoking is only allowed in outdoor designated areas.
Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: We offer Daily Specials every day of the week, except Friday and Saturday. We also offer bowling for Juniors (age 12 & under) and Seniors (age 60 & over) at $2 per game Mon-Fri 10am to 5pm (shoe rental not included).
Q: Can anyone bowl in Z Lounge?
A: The general public is welcome to bowl in Z Lounge anytime it's not reserved for a group. You will pay a slightly higher price to bowl in Z Lounge, but you get to enjoy the exclusive, sophisticated atmosphere.
Q: Can all ages bowl in Z Lounge?
A: All ages are welcome in Z Lounge, although the rich decor is designed to appeal more to adults, while the bright, vibrant Pinz main lanes are designed with families and kids in mind.
Q: Do you have bumper bowling for younger children?
A: Yes, bumper bowling is available on all lanes upon request. We also have ball ramps for children and those with physical challenges.
Q: Is shoe rental included?
A: Shoe rental is $3 per person for bowling in Pinz or Z Lounge. Bowling shoes are required, whether you rent ours or bring your own. If you bring your own shoes you don't have to pay the shoe rental fee. Click to see which of our Daily Specials include shoe rentals, and which don't. Shoe rental is complimentary in our Group and Birthday packages. If you bring your own shoes to a Birthday or Group event you will not receive an additional discount off the package price.
Q: Does Pinz have cosmic bowling?
A: Yes! Pinz & Z Lounge have the coolest cosmic bowling, with the latest light and sound technology. Pinz' stunning, high impact light show transforms our bowling lanes into a club-scene, night-life party. While our top of the line sound system thumps out a dance beat, complete with music videos on giant HD projection screens at the end of each lane. Wear your loudest fashions and glow right along with the bowling balls & pins. We tone it down just a bit for Family Cosmic Bowl every Thursday night from 6-9pm, then crank it up for Club Cosmic Bowl Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights from 9pm to midnight. Q: Does Z Lounge have Cosmic bowling?
A: Yes, we have the same super cool light & sound system in Z Lounge as we have in Pinz main lanes, it just costs a little more to bowl in Z Lounge.
Q: Can I bring in outside food or beverage?
A: No outside food or drink is permitted at Pinz, but we have a great menu of pizza, appetizers, entrees, and desserts served right at your lane.
Q: Does Pinz serve alcohol?
A: Yes, Pinz has a full bar, including a wide selection of beers, wines, and mixed drinks. While we recognize that beer and bowling go together for some, we also realize that others choose not to drink, so we have worked to incorporate adult beverages in an understated and responsible way in our family-friendly environment.
Q: Does Pinz offer combo packages with Wahooz?
A: Wahooz Unlimited Fun Pass now includes bowling! You'll get unlimited use of go-karts, mini golf, laser tag, bowling*, MaxFlight, bumper boats, Kiddie Cove & $5 game card for $28.99 ($21.99 for juniors under 58"). Wahooz & Pinz offer combo packages for Groups & Birthdays. *Bowling assigned in 15 minute increments per person. Wait list may apply.
Q: Does Pinz offer Gift Cards?
A: Yes, you can purchase a combo Gift Card that can be used at Pinz, Wahooz and Roaring Springs Waterpark online or at the Pinz or Wahooz ticket counter.
Q: Does Pinz offer bowling leagues?
A: No, we want lanes to be available for open bowling at all times, so we have chosen not to offer leagues. Instead, we offer Bowling Clubs, featuring 8 weeks of instruction, friendly competition, and a lot of fun for kids, adults, families and couples. Click here for more information.
Birthday Questions
Q: Can we just rent out lanes for a birthday party, and not purchase a package?
A: Certainly, but our Birthday Packages are value priced, so you'll want to compare everything you get to bowling at regular prices. Also, with a birthday package you'll get reserved lane and table time, whereas bowling is only available on a first-come, first-served basis to walk-in parties. You are welcome to bring a cake and serving items (no other outside food, drinks or cups), but we ask that you serve your cake in Wahooz' Clubhouse Grill, rather than in Pinz to avoid taking up lane time. We also ask that you limit your table time to 45 minutes. Items left unattended after that time will be removed.
Q: How far in advance do I need to book a birthday party?
A: Our parties are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and fill up fast, but as long as there is room we will get you in. We recommend booking one week in advance, but we can take your reservation even one day before your party if space is available.
Q: Is there a deposit required?
A: Yes, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required and will be applied to the balance of your party. We can take your deposit over the phone with a credit card or you can stop by the Wahooz office and make your deposit within three days of making your reservation. We do not accept personal checks.
Q: Do you offer a combo Pinz/Wahooz party?
A: Wahooz Unlimited Birthday Bash and Indoor Incredible both include unlimited bowling*, and Pinz party packages include one free Wahooz attraction pass and game card that your host will give each guest at the end of your party. *Bowling assigned in 15 minute increments. Wait list may apply.
Q: Do you provide invitations?
A: Pinz invitations are available to print at home or email at Pinz Birthday page.
Q: Where will our table time be held?
A: The Pinz Party package includes a decorated table in Wahooz Event Center. Your party host will serve food, play games, and provide bowling instruction at the lanes. For the Bowling Blast pizza is served at your lane.
Q: Why is the Bowling Blast only available to ages 12 years and older?
A: Children younger than 12 need more help on the lanes, and the Bowling Blast doesn't include a party host to facilitate that.
Q: Is there seating for adults during table time?
A: Yes, we want to make sure all your guests are comfortable so we set aside seating for up to one adult per participating child. If there are more adults than participating children there is a $15 charge per table of 10.
Q: What if adults want to bowl with the birthday party guests?
A: We would love to have you join in the fun, and we offer two different options. You can either purchase the same birthday package for each adult who wants to bowl at the time you make your party reservation, or you can pay regular bowling rates on a first come, first served basis (unfortunately we cannot guarantee open lanes next to your party.)
Q: Are the party tables decorated?
A: Yes, your table will be decorated with colorful balloons, tablecloth, plates, cups and napkins. You are welcome to bring in your own party supplies, please let us know in advance. Bringing in your own party supplies does not decrease your party charge.
Q: Does Pinz supply a cake or can we bring our own?
A: Either is fine. We would be happy to order a delicious cake from Pastry Perfection, or you can bring your own.
Q: Can I take my leftover food and cake?
A: We are happy to box up any leftovers and store them in our refrigerator until you're ready to leave...just don't forget them!
Q: Can I bring in outside food or beverages:
A: We do not allow outside food or drink, with the exception of a birthday cake and ice cream with a birthday package. If you're not purchasing a birthday package we ask that you serve your cake in Wahooz' Clubhouse Grill instead of in Pinz so as not to take up limited lane or table space.
Q: Can I order additional food off the menu?
A: Absolutely, we offer a number of food specials and add-ons that can be found on our Birthday Party page, or you can order off the new Pinz menu.
Q: Will our party bowl first or have our table time first?
A: The Pinz Party package will bowl for the first hour, then have their table time for the second hour. Please arrive at your party 15 minutes early, as if you're late we cannot extend your time on the lane. At the end of your table time your server will give each guest their free Wahooz attraction pass and game card. Bowling Blast parties will be served pizza at their lane toward the beginning of their party.
Q: One of the guests coming to our party has food allergies. Can he/she get something other than the pizza that comes with the packages?
A: Certainly, please notify us in advance as to what food allergy the guest has and we will do our best to find a suitable meal replacement, or they are welcome to bring in their own meal if their allergy is severe.
Q: Why don't you book birthday parties on Fridays or Saturdays after 5pm?
A: Friday and Saturday nights the busiest times at Pinz, and we want to be able to give birthdays our undivided attention at times when we're less busy. You're still welcome to bring your party in on a Friday or Saturday night. If there's a wait you can play in the Arcade or play Laser Tag. You can also order off the menu in the Pinz dining area or in the Clubhouse Grill and eat first, then bowl when your lane is ready. You're welcome to bring in a cake and serving items, as well. We ask that you serve your cake in Clubhouse Grill so as not to tie up the lanes.
